This is a sculptural piece I did for myself; a shoulder pet. I based it off the Pooka of folklore, in its original shape. Spiderwick (we all need inspiration) is about a foot in length, fully wired with an armature so he can be posed, and has magnets in his belly so he can sit on people's shoulders. I was inspired to make one after seeing something somewhat similar at the local Renaissance Festival.
I wore him this year to the festival and had loads of people stop me to ask about him. Some people thought he was a squirrel (with wings?), others were just enchanted with the idea. One little girl was so amazed that I took him off my shoulder so she could see how he stands and could pet him better
. I even had a guy who had purchased one of the little shoulder pets at the fair stop me to ask how I kept mine on. He agreed that magnets are a better idea.
I am sorry but Spiderwick is my original and is not for sale.
